THE BRIEF: The BBC asked us to create a widget to delight and inform users and engage them with BBC’s content in new ways.

 

Concept: The BBC Tag Player – a widget that let’s people find and create tags in BBC's content.

 

How it works: Download the Tag player widget at www.bbc.co.uk. You can play any movie clip (1) found at the BBC website. Discover tags by clicking on “Browse tags", “Show tags” or moving your cursor over the picture. BBC has already added tags (2) with their own content for you to discover but you can also create your own tags.

 

Use you existing BBC member name, click on “Create tag” (3) and drag and drop the tag to anything you like (the widget will use simple tracing technique to stick the tag to the area). Add text, pictures, sounds, links or even movie clips to your tag. Then save it for others to view, rate and comment. It works perfectly with all the BBC's content, and also when you are watching iPTV (4).

 

In short: A widget based on peoples hunger for fast information and BBC’s wide selection of content.
